Robert Shaw was a British actor and playwright. He starred as Captain Quint in the 1975 film Jaws, which is widely considered to be one of the greatest films of all time. The film was directed by Steven Spielberg and also starred Roy Scheider and Richard Dreyfuss. Shaw received critical acclaim for his performance as the shark hunter Quint, and the character’s monologue about the USS Indianapolis is considered to be one of the film’s most iconic scenes. Shaw passed away in 1978 at the age of 51.
